During the Cook Bay Trail project, the following process was followed:

  • All exposed steel surfaces were treated beforehand to remove all oils, dirt, grease and existing contaminants.
  • Dry abrasive blasting was used in accordance with AS1627.4 Class 2.5.
  • Within the space of four hours, a coat of Epoxy Zinc Primer was then applied.
  • Following the application of primer, two subsequent coats of Ferreko No.3 Mio Epoxy was applied.
